Compact 3000va inverter charger for reliable off-grid and backup power solutions.

Combines a 3000VA pure sine wave inverter, 70A adaptive battery charger, and 32A AC transfer switch in a single compact unit. Perfect for space-limited setups, it simplifies installation, reduces cabling, and delivers reliable off-grid or backup power. Trusted for its durability and advanced technology, it’s ideal for homes, holiday properties, and mobile applications.

Key functions

  • 3000VA 24V pure sine wave inverter:
    • Converts DC to 230V AC to power TVs, laptops, lighting, fans, and more. Delivers 2400W continuous and 5500W peak for motor-driven appliances, with pure sine wave output for superior efficiency and broad appliance compatibility.
  • Adaptive 70A 4-stage smart battery charger (bulk - absorption - float - storage):
    • Enables safe, efficient unattended 24V battery charging with a microprocessor-driven adaptive system that adjusts for battery type and usage.
  • Uninterruptible power supply (UPS):
    • Features a high-speed 32A AC transfer switch that automatically activates the inverter in under 20ms during grid, shore, or generator outages, keeping sensitive loads like computers running without disruption.

Intelligent Features

Includes all standard MultiPlus features plus optional external current sensor support (extends PowerControl and PowerAssist to 50A, optimising self-consumption). Features an auxiliary AC output for non-critical loads that disconnects when switching to battery operation.

Additionally, the MultiPlus-II offers numerous customizable features and settings for enhanced functionality and versatile applications.

  • PowerControl:
    • Allows setting a maximum AC input current, prioritising power to AC loads while using leftover current to charge batteries, preventing AC supply overloads and breaker trips. Requires Multi Control Panel (not included).
  • PowerAssist:
    • PowerAssist lets the MultiPlus-II supplement AC source capacity by drawing additional current from the battery to meet high AC load demand, then recharge when demand drops. Ideal for short-term peak power, smaller generators, or limited shore supply.
  • Programmable relay:
    • Features a programmable relay for various applications, such as generator start/stop. By default, it acts as an alarm relay, de-energising during alarms or pre-alarms (overheating, high input ripple, or low battery voltage).
  • Parallel and 3-phase operation capability:
    • Can be paralleled with up to 6 units for higher power output and supports 3-phase wye (Y) operation. Requires standard RJ45 UTP cable (not included).
  • Inbuilt safety protection:
    • Provides full protection against short circuits, overload, battery over/undervoltage, overheating, backfeed AC, and excessive input voltage ripple.
  • WeakAC:
    • Strong distortion of the input voltage can result in the charger hardly operating or not operating at all. If WeakAC is turned on, the charger will also accept a strongly distorted voltage, at the cost of greater distortion of the input current.
  • BatterySafe mode:
    • Prevents battery damage from excessive gassing by automatically limiting voltage rise when gassing voltage is reached during high-current, high-voltage charging.
  • The Storage mode:
    • Storage mode reduces float voltage after 24 hours of inactivity to minimize gassing and plate corrosion, with weekly absorption pulses to prevent electrolyte stratification and sulphation, extending battery life.
  • Bulk protection:
    • When this setting is turned on, the bulk charging time is limited to 10 hours. A longer charging time could indicate a system error (e.g., a battery cell short circuit).
  • Temperature compensation:
    • Temperature sensor lowers charging voltage as battery temperature rises, protecting maintenance-free batteries from overcharging and drying out.
  • Remote monitoring and control:
    • Paired with a GX device, the MultiPlus-II can be monitored and controlled locally or remotely via the free VRM app or portal on any phone, tablet, or computer.
