Intelligent Features
Includes all standard MultiPlus features plus support for an external current sensor to enhance PowerControl and PowerAssist. Also offers a secondary AC output for non-critical loads, which disconnects instantly when switching to battery mode.

- PowerControl:
- Lets you set a maximum AC input limit, prioritizing power to appliances while using leftover capacity to charge batteries—preventing overloads and tripped breakers (requires Multi Control Panel).
- PowerAssist:
- PowerAssist boosts your AC source by drawing extra current from the batteries when demand exceeds supply, then recharges the batteries when demand drops—allowing smaller generators or limited shore power to handle peak loads.
- Programmable relay:
- Equipped with a programmable relay for tasks like generator start/stop; by default, it acts as an alarm relay, triggering on overheating, high input ripple, or low battery voltage.
- Parallel and 3-phase operation capability:
- Supports parallel connection of up to 6 units for higher power and 3-phase wye operation, using a standard RJ45 UTP cable (not included).
- Inbuilt safety protection:
- Provides full protection against short circuits, overload, battery over/undervoltage, overheating, backfeed AC, and excessive input voltage ripple.
- WeakAC:
- WeakAC mode allows the charger to operate under heavily distorted input voltage, though it increases input current distortion.
- BatterySafe mode:
- Prevents battery damage from excessive gassing by automatically limiting voltage rise during high-current, high-voltage fast charging.
- The Storage mode:
- Storage mode reduces float voltage after 24 hours of inactivity to minimize gassing and plate corrosion, with weekly equalization to prevent electrolyte stratification and sulphation.
- Bulk protection:
- Limits bulk charging to 10 hours, alerting to possible system errors if exceeded (e.g., battery cell short circuit).
- Temperature compensation:
- Temperature sensor lowers charging voltage as battery temperature rises, protecting maintenance-free batteries from overcharging and drying out.
- Remote monitoring and control:
- With a GX device (e.g., Cerbo GX), monitor and control your MultiPlus-II locally or remotely via LAN/Wi-Fi or the internet, using the free VRM app or portal on any device.
